Back Again

Well it's been a busy couple of months leading up to my students' final degree shows. I have been working hard to help them and get all their work marked. They have officially finished college, and it's at this time of year that I feel a little sad but also regenerated. I love teaching and am always full of ideas, but I find it hard to do any of my own personal work. So now is my time to create new work and try to improve my portfolio. I can see lots of changes ahead, and for once i'm not afraid, but excited.

The images are examples of work by Helen, one of the ceramics students at the college, who produced a beautiful show. The middle picture is the package she put together for me of her beautiful butterflies. The image in red is a close up of a brooch I bought from her, the image isn't very clear but I quite like it.

Nice to see you back Abby. I was beginning to wonder. I look forward to seeing example of your new work here.

Your comment - I love teaching and am always full of ideas, but I find it hard to do any of my own personal work - Really resonated with me. I've got two weeks of vacation starting today and I am soooo hoping that I can actually get some of my own work done.

Keeping my fingers crossed for both of us.

Abba Dabba, you're back. Can't wait to see what you're going to be creating for us all to see soon.
Pleased that you've managed to survive the past few weeks, which I imagine were quite stressful at college.
See you in Dublin :)
